2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C Coming to Heuberger Motors

Subaru has already introduced their 2011 Subaru Impreza to dealership lots like Heuberger Motors in Colorado Springs, CO - but for those fans who want a little something more intense, check out the Impreza WRX STI Spec C.

Subaru has now announced the WRX STI Spec C has gained 2010 FIA Group N homologation - a requirement to enter FIA-approved racing/rallying championships taking place globally.

Spec C is powered by Subaru's 2.0-liter boxer engine with a turbocharged four-cylinder producing an output of 308 HP at 6,400 rpm and 422 Nm of torque at 4,400 rpm.

Rumors of a Subaru Impreza WRX STI Spec C go as far back as Spring 2008. The automaker was working on a lighter, more powerful version of the new Impreza WRX STI. Last year, Subaru unveiled the Spec C but only sold it in Japan.

As for Subaru lovers stateside, the all new 2011 WRX STI contains a 2.5-liter, DOHC turbocharger and engine with AVCS variable valve timing. That pumps out 244 lb.-ft. of torque @ 4,000 rpm.

The 2011 Subaru WRX STI is available in a variety of body styles, including a four door sedan and five door sports hatchback. The new Impreza's are part of the company's "Wide Body Design" campaign, and feature a slightly thicker look.

No word yet on any WRX STI Spec C enhanced vehicles making their way onto the Heuberger Motors in Colorado Springs lots, but keep checking back at their location: 1080 Motor City Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80905 for more information.
