Although, cars like Impreza aren't hybrid vehicles, but they will receive amazing gas mileage. The all new Subaru Impreza, for example, receives 36 MPG highway. 

The Japanese auto maker will launch its first hybrid vehicle within two years, according to sources. That car, which is set to first drop in Japan, will be a Subaru Legacy mid-size sedan for the 2014 model year. 

But according to a Subaru of America executive, "while development of the hybrid-electric drive technology is largely done, the company is still debating which vehicle will debut the hybrid system for the US market."¹
