Its seems like just about everything is going up in prices these days. That will not be the case however, for 2012 Subaru models. Most notably the 2012 Subaru Impreza, with its outer redesign and increase in color options, will come in at its same entry 2011 entry level pricing of $17,495, in addition to a $750 destination charge.
Over at Heuberger Motors, Inc in Colorado Springs, CO, the 2012 Impreza will hit the lot in November. Of course, there will be many options in addition to the base model. Actually, Subaru is releasing several optional packages for 2012 and beyond. Impreza now comes in a base, 2.0i Premium, Sport Premium, Limited and Sport Limited trims.
The Impreza begins with a five-speed manual transmission, and if you don't want to drive a stick, for $1,000 more you can have an automatic. Both are matted to a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and Subaru's all-wheel-drive. Impreza achieves 27 mpg city, and an impressive 36 highway with the automatic tranny.
What else does the Japanese auto maker have to offer: Premium models start at $18,795 for the sedan and $19,295 for the hatchback, $300 more than the current versions. The Sport Premium comes only as a hatchback and starts at $20,995. The new Limited trims include an all-weather package, automatic climate control and LCD screen; they start at $21,595 for the sedan and $22,095 for the hatchback. The new Sport Limited trim hasn't yet received a price tag.1
