Taking a design cue from the Subaru Legacy, the next version of Subaru's line up is being previewed before the official Frankfurt Auto Show unveiling. One of those cars with leaked images online is the XV. 

Subaru released a teaser image of the XV ahead of the company's official world debut September at the upcoming 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show.

The XV, unveiled as a concept at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show, "defines a new generation of Subaru crossover vehicles," the Japanese automaker said regarding the sketch released last week.¹

That particular concept from Shanghai featured a 2.0-liter four-cylinder boxer engine, which was mated to a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
